Ohio High School Softball - Wayne edged by Covington

The Wayne Warriors softball squad (Huber Heights, OH), was edged 11-10 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Covington Buccaneers (Covington, OH)

With the triumph, Covington improves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Miami East (Casstown, OH) to face the Vikings in a Three Rivers contest on Tuesday, March 31. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 3-2. Miami East lost 14-0 in their recent non-league contest against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH)

The Warriors now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 28. Wayne will battle a Green Wave team coming off a 13-0 league win over Xenia (Xenia, OH). The Green Wave record now stands at 3-1.
