Trigg County Wildcats (Cadiz, KY) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL), 18-10 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Trigg County improves its record to 9-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY) to play the Blue Tornado in a non-league game on Monday, March 30. The Blue Tornado enter the game with a record of 6-4. Paducah Tilghman lost 11-2 in their recent non-league game against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL)

The Tigers now hold a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Waltonville for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 31. Herrin will battle a Spartans team coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-2.
