Illinois High School Softball - Staunton held off by Wesclin

The Wesclin Warriors softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Staunton Bulldogs to 7 in the Warriors non-league win on Saturday.

The Warriors now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Steeleville for a non-league test on Monday, March 30. Wesclin will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 3-4.

The Bulldogs (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL). The Hawks come into the non-league outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Carrollton got by Auburn (Auburn, IL), 17-5, in a non-league outing.
