The Roger Bacon Spartans crushed the host Taylor Yellowjackets baseball team by a count of 10-1 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Hill for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 3.
Next, the Yellowjackets face the Summit Country Day Silver Knights (Cincinnati, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 3. Taylor will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
Game Summary
The Spartans JV Team came to play today, and scored 10 runs on 10 hits! Freshman A.J. Meyer went perfect at the plate, going 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored! Freshman Avery Battle lead the team with 3 RBI’s! The Spartans pitching was also great! Freshman Alex Edmondson tossed a complete game allowing 1 run, none earned on 6 hits and 2 strikeouts! He also tallied an RBI at the plate! The Spartans even the record to 1-1, and take on Indian Hill on the road on Saturday!
