In Monday's non-league contest, the Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ) softball team held off the host Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Central moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bobcats host Metro Tech (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Knights in a 5A Metro contest on Tuesday, March 30.
