California High School Volleyball - Canyon Crest Academy over Classical Academy

Canyon Crest Academy Ravens (San Diego, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Classical Academy Caimans (Escondido, CA), 3-1 in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Ravens meet the Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA) in a Coastal (NCC) game, on Wednesday, March 30. Canyon Crest Academy will attempt to improve on its 16-2 season record. The Lancers enter the game with a 12-14 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA).
The Caimans (8-10) will now prepare for their game against Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA). The Eagles enter the Pacific game with a 16-5 record. In their last game, Santa Fe Christian gained a win over O'Farrell Charter (San Diego, CA), 3-2, in a non-league game.
Match Summary
This was a huge test for our program, Classical Academy gave CCA some serious competition. Our team started off with some incredible energy in the first set, and we really worked hard. The second set, we unfortunately played lower than our potential, and we really had to battle back, where Tony Qu went on an incredible five point serving run, and our defense did their job at the net. The third set, we struggled and beat ourselves while trying to find our rhythm, and Classical took advantage and did a great job. In the fourth set, we found what it took it compete against Classical Academy, and once we found our rhythm, we did incredibly well. Our blockers closed while along the net, and worked on siding out right away, to avoid being stuck in rotations, each player had fight and worked so hard while battling through adversity.
