Sulligent Blue Devils (Sulligent, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brilliant for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. Sulligent will face a Tigers squad coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Marion County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Hubbertville (Fayette, AL) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
