Vandebilt Catholic Terriers (Houma, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Terriers now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgan City for a 4A District 7 challenge on Thursday, March 31.

With the loss, Assumption falls to 10-13 on the campaign. The Mustangs host South Lafourche (Galliano, LA) to battle the Tarpons in a 4A District 7 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Tarpons enter the challenge with a record of 6-12. South Lafourche won 16-3 in their recent league challenge against A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA)
