Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Purple Raiders now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to LaSalle-Peru for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Bloomington will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 15-8 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Prairie Central falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Monticello (Monticello, IL) to face the Sages in a Illini Prairie challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Sages enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Monticello won 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Tri-Valley (Downs, IL)
