Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Colbert County Indians (Leighton, AL), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sheffield for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. Colbert Heights will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to Lexington (Lexington, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Colbert County falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Central (Florence, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-10. Central lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lauderdale County (Rogersville, AL)
