Louisiana High School Softball - Jennings topped by Iowa

The Iowa Yellowjackets softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Jennings Bulldogs to 1 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Iowa advances its record to 18-5 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Church Point (Church Point, LA) to meet the Bears in a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 30. The Bears go into the battle with a record of 1-3.

The Bulldogs now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Lake Charles College Prep for a 3A District 4 battle on Thursday, March 31. Jennings will meet a squad coming off a 16-10 league win over St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA). The record now stands at 3-1.
