Watertown Purple Tigers (Watertown, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Monterey Wildcats (Monterey, TN), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Purple Tigers now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Upperman for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4.

With the loss, Monterey falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host York Institute (Jamestown, TN) to battle the Dragons in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. York Institute lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN)
