South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Storm now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Conant for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. South Elgin will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Prospect falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Mundelein (Mundelein, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Mundelein lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity (River Forest, IL)
