The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) and the host South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA), saw May River's lacrosse team top South Effingham by a margin of 19-5.
The Sharks (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against James Island (Charleston, SC). The Trojans enter the 4A-1A Lower challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, James Island was overwhelmed by Bishop England (Charleston, SC), 13-10, in a league challenge.
The Mustangs (2-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Islands (Savannah, GA). The Sharks enter the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Islands was overwhelmed by Effingham County (Springfield, GA), 11-2, in a non-league challenge.
