Alabama High School Softball - Athens bounces Blackman

The Athens Golden Eagles routed the visiting Blackman Blaze softball squad by a count of 13-0 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Golden Eagles (18-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL). The Trojans go into the 6A Area 16 battle with a 16-10 record. In their last battle, Hazel Green topped Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

The Blaze now sport a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to West Chicago for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 29. Blackman will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Siegel (Murfreesboro, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
