Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA), 23-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Varina for a Capital challenge on Monday, April 10. Atlee will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, James River Midlothian falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Rapids host Powhatan (Powhatan, VA) to face the Indians in a Dominion challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Powhatan won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Monacan (Richmond, VA)
