The Seneca Fighting Irish softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Serena Huskers to 1 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Seneca improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Fighting Irish host Woodland (Streator, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Tri-County game on Thursday, March 30. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 1-2. Woodland lost 12-2 in their recent league game against Seneca (Seneca, IL)

In their next game, the Huskers clash with the Yorkville Christian Mustangs (Yorkville, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 31. Serena will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the game with a 1-0 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Joliet Central (Joliet, IL).
