The William Blount Governors baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Midway Green Wave to 2 in the Governors non-league victory on Friday.
The Governors (9-4) will now prepare for their match against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Northview Academy ran past Cocke County (Newport, TN), 8-7, in a league match.
The Green Wave (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Greenback (Greenback, TN). The Cherokees go into the 1A District 4 match with a 8-3 record. In their last match, Greenback ran past Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN), 12-1, in a non-league match.
