Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Northwestern Huskies (West Salem, OH) and the visiting South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH), saw Northwestern's baseball squad edge South Central by a count of 6-5.

Coming up next, the Huskies play the Dalton Bulldogs (Dalton, OH) in a Wayne County Athletic battle, on Tuesday, April 2. Northwestern will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Madeira (Cincinnati, OH).

The Trojans now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plymouth for a Firelands contest on Tuesday, April 2. South Central will encounter a Big Red squad coming off a 19-1 non-league win over Crestline (Crestline, OH). The Big Red record now stands at 1-1.
