Arizona High School Softball - Anthem Prep can't hold off Mingus

The Anthem Prep Eagles softball team (Anthem, AZ), was tipped 9-8 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ)

The Marauders (5-6) will now prepare for their bout against Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ). The Panthers go into the 4A Grand Canyon bout with a 11-5 record. In their last bout, Coconino held off Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ), 9-1, in a league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mohave for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 30. Anthem Prep will confront a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 16-4 non-league loss to Snowflake (Snowflake, AZ). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-10.
