Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Yucaipa Thunderbirds (Yucaipa, CA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Aztecs now sport a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they host Villa Park for a Crestview challenge on Tuesday, April 9.

With the loss, Yucaipa falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Redlands (Redlands, CA) to face the Terriers in a Citrus Belt challenge on Wednesday, April 3. The Terriers enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Redlands lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Cajon (San Bernardino, CA)
