James Madison Warhawks (Vienna, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tippecanoe Red Devils (Tipp City, OH), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Warhawks now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 29. James Madison will face a Pirates squad coming off a 21-0 league win over Northridge (Dayton, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Tippecanoe falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Piqua (Piqua, OH) to face the Indians in a Miami Valley League - Miami challenge on Monday, April 1. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Piqua won 23-0 in their recent league challenge against Xenia (Xenia, OH)
