The crowd at Friday's league match between the Orcas Island Vikings (Eastsound, WA) and the host LaConner Braves (LaConner, WA), saw Orcas Island's softball squad nip LaConner by a count of 7-6.

The Vikings now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Concrete for a 1B/2B Northwest match on Saturday, March 30. Orcas Island will face a Lions squad coming off a 21-1 league loss to Coupeville (Coupeville, WA). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.
