In Friday's non-league contest, the Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Menifee County Wildcats (Frenchburg, KY), by a margin of 17-2.

With the triumph, Nicholas County moves its record to 5-6 on the year. The Bluejackets host Bracken County (Brooksville, KY) to play the Polar Bears in a non-league contest on Friday, April 5. The Polar Bears come into the contest with a record of 6-4.

In their next game, the Wildcats play the Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 30. Menifee County will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 15-5 non-league loss to Washington County (Springfield, KY).
