The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) baseball got by the visiting St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL), 9-8 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Tornadoes now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Prairie for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 31. Abingdon/Avon will clash with a Cyclones team coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 0-3.
With the defeat, St. Thomas More drops to 3-6 on the year. The Sabers travel to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL) to clash with the Storm in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 1. The Storm go into the challenge with a record of 3-1.
