The Wilmington Wildcats baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Clifton Central Comets to 2 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.
The Wildcats now hold a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Reed-Custer for a Illinois Central Eight test on Monday, March 31. Wilmington will play a Comets team coming off a 8-4 non-league win over El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Comets record now stands at 5-1.
With the defeat, Clifton Central drops to 2-5 on the year. The Comets travel to Watseka (Watseka, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league test on Monday, March 31. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 0-5. Watseka lost 6-3 in their recent non-league test against St. Anne (St. Anne, IL)
