The Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Trinity Christian Eagles (Willow Park, TX), 8-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Gophers now own a 3-15 record. They take the field next when they host South Grand Prairie for a 6A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Grand Prairie will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Lamar (Arlington, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 10-6.

With the defeat, Trinity Christian drops to 4-4 on the year. The Eagles host Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a TAPPS Division III District 1 challenge on Friday, April 11. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 8-15.
