The Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS) baseball trounced the visiting Greene County Wildcats (Leakesville, MS), 7-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Bobcats now own a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they host Forrest County Agricultural for a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Sumrall will clash with a Aggies team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Purvis (Purvis, MS). The Aggies record now stands at 11-8.
With the defeat, Greene County drops to 13-7 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS) to play the Pirates in a 4A Region 8 game on Tuesday, April 1. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 10-12.
