The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) and the visiting Kearny Kardinals (Kearny, NJ), saw Verona's baseball team gain a win over Kearny by a tally of 10-0.

The Hillbillies (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Montclair (Montclair, NJ). The Mounties enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Montclair was overwhelmed by St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, NJ), 7-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Kardinals face the Lincoln Lions (Jersey City, NJ) in a HCIAL - National battle, on Monday, March 31. Kearny will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Hillside (Hillside, NJ).
