The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the King's Academy Lions (Seymour, TN) and the host Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN), saw King's Academy's baseball team gain a win over Union County by a tally of 14-3.

The Lions (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Lakeway Christian Academy (Morristown, TN). The Lions enter the D II-A East 1 battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, Lakeway Christian Academy was overwhelmed by Heritage (Maryville, TN), 10-5, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) in a 3A District 4 battle, on Monday, March 31. Union County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 7-6 record after their 16-15 non-league loss to Hancock County (Sneedville, TN).
