In Saturday's non-league bout, the Valley Springs Tigers (Valley Springs, AR) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR), by a tally of 11-3.
Next up, the Tigers encounter the Bergman Panthers (Bergman, AR) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Monday, March 31. Valley Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 17-2 league loss to Salem (Salem, AR).
The Mustangs (10-8) will now prepare for their bout against Clarendon (Clarendon, AR). The Lions enter the 1A Region 6 bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Clarendon was overwhelmed by Barton (Lexa, AR), 19-9, in a non-league bout.
