In Saturday's non-league test, the Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) lacrosse team overwhelmed the host Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA), by a count of 22-0.
Next up, the Greyhounds battle the Lassiter Trojans (Marietta, GA) in a 2A Area 3 test, on Tuesday, April 1. Pope will attempt to move on its 10-3 season record. The Trojans enter the test with a 10-4 record after their 13-7 non-league win over Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC).
The Cougars (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Whitewater prevailed over Northgate (Newnan, GA), 9-8, in a non-league challenge.
