In Saturday's non-league test, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) lacrosse team edged the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), by a count of 12-11.

Next up, the Pirates battle the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a Mideastern test, on Tuesday, April 1. Topsail will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Trojans enter the test with a 1-8 record after their 9-8 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC).

The Vikings (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots enter the United 8/All American/Sandhills test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Pinecrest got by Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 21-3, in a non-league test.
