In Saturday's non-league match, the host Avonworth Antelopes softball team scored a tight 9-5 victory over the Columbiana Clippers.

The Antelopes (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Knox Central (Barbourville, KY). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Knox Central tipped Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY), 20-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Clippers battle the East Palestine Bulldogs (East Palestine, OH) in a Eastern Ohio Athletic match, on Monday, March 31. Columbiana will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the match with a 1-1 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Chaney (Youngstown, OH).
