The Porterville Panthers softball squad (Porterville, CA), was routed 6-2 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA)

With the triumph, Bakersfield improves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Drillers host Highland (Bakersfield, CA) to face the Scots in a South Yosemite Valley contest on Wednesday, April 2. The Scots enter the contest with a record of 9-2. Highland won 15-1 in their recent non-league contest against South (Bakersfield, CA)

The Panthers now hold a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Redwood for a East Yosemite contest on Thursday, April 3. Porterville will face a Rangers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Kingsburg (Kingsburg, CA). The Rangers record now stands at 7-4.
