The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) and the visiting Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL), observed Fulton's softball team get by Gardner-South Wilmington by a tally of 8-5.

The Steamers (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Minutemen go into the non-league bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Lexington was routed by Rochelle (Rochelle, IL), 13-10, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 29. Gardner-South Wilmington will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 14-5 non-league win over Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL).
