Mary Louis Academy Hilltoppers (Jamaica, NY) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY), 16-10 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mary Louis Academy upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Hilltoppers host Monsignor McClancy (Queens, NY) to play the Crusaders in a Bronx/Westchester game on Wednesday, April 2. The Crusaders enter the game with a record of 1-2.

The Cougars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Anthony's for a non-league bout on Monday, March 31. St. John the Baptist will clash with a Friars team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY). The Friars record now stands at 1-0.
