In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Springfield Senators softball team scored a tight 3-1 win over the Morton Potters.
The Senators (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Titans come into the Central State Eight match with a 5-0 record. In their last match, Glenwood nipped Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL), 10-4, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Potters confront the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 5. Morton will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record.
