The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) and the visiting Pana Panthers (Pana, IL), observed Newton's softball team get by Pana by a tally of 3-0.

The Eagles (6-0) will now prepare for their bout against Hutsonville/Palestine (Palestine, IL). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Hutsonville/Palestine tipped North Central (Farmersburg, IN), 19-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 31. Pana will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 21-9 non-league win over Riverton (Riverton, IL).
