The Portales Rams softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting West Mesa Mustangs to 8 in the Rams non-league win on Saturday.

The Rams now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 29. Portales will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, West Mesa moves to 7-9 on the season. The Mustangs host Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Bulldogs in a 5A District 5 battle on Tuesday, April 1. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 9-6. Albuquerque won 12-1 in their recent non-league battle against Valley (Albuquerque, NM)
