In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Montverde Academy Eagles baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Cullman Bearcats.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Parkview (Lilburn, GA). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Parkview tipped Etowah (Attalla, AL), 10-1, in a non-league game.
The Bearcats (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Mountain Brook (Birmingham, AL). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Mountain Brook was edged by East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 5-1, in a non-league game.
