In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Putnam County War Eagles baseball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Monroe Area Hurricanes.
The War Eagles (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Josey (Augusta, GA). The Eagles go into the AA Region 4 game with a 0-0 record.
The Hurricanes (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Social Circle (Social Circle, GA). The Redskins go into the non-league game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Social Circle tipped Heritage (Conyers, GA), 11-1, in a non-league game.
