Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots (San Diego, CA), 12-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Mariners now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bonita Vista for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 10.

With the loss, Academy of Our Lady of Peace falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Pilots travel to West Hills (Santee, CA) to face the Wolf Pack in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 9. The Wolf Pack enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. West Hills won 12-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA)
