The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs routed the visiting Alief Elsik Rams softball squad by a final score of 15-0 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Mustangs (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX). The Hurricanes go into the 5A Region III District 24 battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Fort Bend Hightower was routed by Angleton (Angleton, TX), 18-0, in a league battle.
The Rams now possess a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Terry for a non-league battle on Friday, March 4. Alief Elsik will meet a Rangers squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 2-2.
