The Angleton Wildcats softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Sherman Bearcats to 1 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Angleton improves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Wildcats host Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 5A Region III District 24 game on Friday, March 4. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 4-5. Fort Bend Willowridge won 20-1 in their recent non-league game against Royal (Brookshire, TX)

In their next game, the Bearcats clash with the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 4. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the game with a 7-5 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX).
