California High School Softball - Wheatland bounces Colfax

March 3, 2022: Colfax, CA 95713

Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA), 11-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marysville for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. Wheatland will face a Indians squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Wood (Vacaville, CA). The Indians record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Colfax falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA) to face the Miners in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Miners enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Nevada Union lost 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA)
