The Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, TX) softball routed the host Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX), 8-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Pirates (6-6) will now prepare for their bout against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 2-10 record. In their last bout, Kilgore was routed by West Sabine (Pineland, TX), 10-0, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cumby for a non-league bout on Friday, March 4. Commerce will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 12-3 non-league win over Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
