Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Moody Bearcats (Moody, TX), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bremond for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. Dawson will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Moody falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 2A Region II District 13 challenge on Wednesday, March 9. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-5.
