The Gregory-Portland Wildcats softball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Eagle Pass Eagles to 3 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Gregory-Portland moves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Palacios (Palacios, TX) to play the Sharks in a 3A Region IV District 28 game on Thursday, March 3. The Sharks come into the game with a record of 2-0. Palacios won 14-13 in their recent league game against Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX)

In their next game, the Eagles play the Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 4. Eagle Pass will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 9-5 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Antonian Prep (San Antonio, TX).
