Texas High School Softball - Kingwood holds off New Caney

The Kingwood Mustangs the visiting New Caney Eagles softball squad by a count of 4-2 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Mustangs (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Cypress Ranch nudged Tomball (Tomball, TX), 6-2, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now sport a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Tomball for a non-league battle on Friday, March 4. New Caney will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-7.
